Mycosidol is an effective treatment for red algae in marine aquariums, which is also called red slime due to the appearance of these algae. Red algae which incidentally can also be green, blue or black are actually not algae but Cyanobacteria. Date Added: 19/10/2011 by Colette Newey

 My lifespace 680 tank had a red algae problem, I changed the coral sand twice as this is where the worst of it was but it kept returning. After speaking to my local aquatic shop they told me about the Mycosidol No Red Algae, so I thought why not. Excellent choice, the algae has cleared up no problem and i didn't even do it right, left all the carbon filters etc in the sump. I would definitely use this product again if needed.
