I'm considering one of the 2 models of this LED light but I don't which which one is best - which would you recommend for my planted tank?

They're both designed for use in the planted aquarium - it really comes down to the colour rendition you want to see. If you are using more than one Eco-Aqua, then I would recommend a tropical and white. The tropical has a mixture of blue and red lights (along with white) and this mix means colours of plants and fish are brought out a little more. However both grow plants as well as each other (they're pretty incredible infact!).

I hope this helps.
