Coming from South America the Echinodorus Rubra is a beautiful and neat aquatic plant.

With shapely oval leaves and streamline slender stems this plant flourishes readily when planted in a good, rich substrate.

Depending on the aquarium size this can work well as both a mid and background plant and will look stunning when planted amongst other plants with contrasting colours and textures.

A truly stunning mid to background plant that flourishes easily. The leaves tend to start off a pinky colour and then as they mature mature onto a greener colour.

Conditions:

• Preferred water temperature is 22-28 degrees.
• Ideal water chemistry is pH 5-5.8
• Can be kept in a low, high light environment.
• Suitable in both CO2 and non CO2 tanks.
• Back/mid ground plant.

A good quality plant fertiliser like Aqua Nourish will also help this plant to mature to the beautiful plant it can become.
