An un-demanding plant that is easy to grow. Does need a relatively large space or certainly one that has height as it can grow in excess of a meter. That said, the leaves do look decorative trailing on the surface of an aquarium and they can be trimmed to suit.

When planting this bulb allow 2/3 of it to remain visible.

As the plant matures it may flower with an aromatic lily.

This plant is suitable for aquariums where fish would normally eat plants. The tough leaves are a deterrent.

Conditions:

• Preferred water temperature is 20-28 degrees.
• Ideal water chemistry is pH 6.5-7.8.
• Can be kept in a low to high light environment.
• Suitable in both CO2 and non CO2 tanks.
• Background plant.
