Description

A moss speciality from Brasil, 1-3 cm tall, called "Christmas tree moss'', because of its side branch structure which distinguishes it from ordinary Vesicularia dubyana and looks like fir tree branches. It is more demanding than ordinary Java moss and grows more slowly. It attaches readily to roots and stones, and as it spreads in the water it needs pruning to keep its shape attractive. See also Taxiphyllum barbieri.

Note: Christmas moss consists of small moss branches (ranging from 5-15mm long) so is trickier to tie onto wood or rock. Use lots of Aqua Fine Line (sold separately) to anchor it down.

The moss was in great condition, portions were maybe a bit smaller than I had anticipated, so I should of purchased 3 instead of two, but there was enough to place where I wanted it.

The moss was in really good condition and is growing well the only issue is I received weeping moss instead, something I only noticed once it had been glued onto a pleco cave.

despite a slight delay in delivery, the moss has arrived in perfect condition, the portion is enough to be planted on one root in the nano tank

what sort of lighting does this plant require. And what other plants work well under the same lighting, we have a max spect razor light, so we have a lot of control over what light we can provide.

Low light really, It looks really nice with Anubias on rock or Bonsai trees :-)

why does this ,and other,mosses gather so much vmoss.small paticulates in the water,and are then almost impossible to keep clean ?

Nature of the beast. Add more filter floss to your filter to remove particulates

I’m hoping I can help I’ve brought a few of these and used the glue u sale to put on driftwood and the moss has died after a few months in fact I can’t seem to keep any moss ive tried have moss weeping moss, bamboo stick and coconut house and it’s the same though the house and bamboo lasted the longest. It just goes brown and dies. All my other plants are all healthy I have a 200l and does ur neutro T 25ml and liquid cO2 daily and have the fluval led light. I really want to have some nice moss growing as I have shrimp I hope u can help me with understanding where I’m going wrong. Thanks

You're either pummelling it with light that is too bright or on for too long or, you're nuking with liquid carbon

You could also trying tying it on with Aqua Fine Line and see if that helps (rather than glueing)
