Description

An attractive and subtle mix of gravel ranging from 2-3mm in size. This gravel is to be placed in the base of the aquarium as a bed to house plants and provides a base for rocks, stones and other aquatic ornaments.

Coming in a handy size bag this pack is ideal for nano and small aquariums up to 15L and also as a 'top-up' when you need a little bit more.

This versatile gravel can be used in aquariums, terrariums or even planters.

We recommend you rinse the sand in a little cold water to remove any dust and particles before placing in the aquarium.

Colour: Subtle shades of brown, beige, black and light brown.

A natural looking aquarium awaits you...

Good grade sand for planting plants good all rounder had to wash it first before putting it the tank but with all gravel you have to wash before using it .

Really liked this course sand, I ordered 2, and it hardly needed any washing as it was already very clean, only needed afew rinses and the water was clear.

Just thinking a bit further on this... 2.5kg isn't actually that much and I will probably need to bulk it up a bit or something. thinking I'll put some larger stones down first, then pour the sand over the top - i actually bought 5kg of this sand, thinking this might be too much. Maybe AE could put a volume measure for each bag to help aquarists know how much they are going to need? Still... awesome. Love the product and the service.

Lovely sand. I had thought that having 2.5kg of sand would be tricky to get delivered through the post, but it was dead easy. In fact, I had two bags delivered in the same box as some plants. the plants were fine. Sand was fine. Everything as always awesome from number one online aquatic plant store (IMHO, of course).
