Delivery

Postage costs are calculated according to the weight of your goods.
 

* £3.99 up to 3kg (Standard Delivery shipped by Royal Mail 48)
* £7.50 over 3kg (DPD Tracked shipped by DPD Courier) and £10.99 when weight increases above 25kg
* £11.99 up to 30kg (Saturday/Sunday Delivery)

 

For all other areas outside of UK mainland, postage is charged at cost.

 

We aim to ship orders within 1-2 working days unless your products are a special order (note availability on some lines).

 

Standard Delivery

 

  • Order before 1500 hours and your order is despatched the same working day
  • Estimated delivery time 2-4 working days
  • Non trackable service
  • Comments cannot be left for delivery instructions

 

DPD Express Delivery

 

  • Order before 1500 hours and your order is despatched the same working day by courier - they will email you your tracking number
  • Normally delivered within 1-2 working days after despatch to UK Mainland although it's not a guarantee.
  • Parts of Scotland, The Highlands and Islands of Scotland are outside of the term UK mainland for our courier (DPD) and do not qualify for Express Delivery. Standard Delivery takes 3-5 working days. The following postcodes are the one's to look out for and please bear in mind we cannot send shrimp to these locations. AB30-38,  AB44-56, FK17-99, G83, HS1-1, IV1-28, IV30-32, IV 40-51, IV52-54, IV55-56, IV63, KW1-14, KA27-28, KW15-17, PA20-33, PA32-PA49, PA60-78, PH18-26, PH30-44, PH49-50, ZE1-3.

Saturday/Sunday Delivery

 

  • Delivered on Saturday or Sunday (your choice, mainland UK only) when you order before 3pm Monday-Friday
  • Trackable service - this means you always know where your parcel is (great for peace of mind)
  • Safe and totally secure service
  • Requires a signature upon receipt but can be left without, providing we have your written consent. Please note you do this at your own risk - we will pass on comments but are then not responsible if the parcel goes missing.

 

You can check the delivery cost of your goods by logging into the shop, adding items to your basket, and then pressing 'Estimate Shipping' button on the shopping basket screen.



Please note: When ordering items which are a 'special order' your order will only be despatched when all items included in the order are available. Contact us if you are unsure about anything.



We will continue to use Royal Mail for smaller packages up to 3kg and our chosen courier for larger/heavier orders. Like all internet retailers we rely on couriers to deliver when they promise, but these are only the guidelines that they offer. Courier companies will deliver Monday to Friday, normally during working hours and require a signature. We are happy to send your goods to any address that you choose, (e.g. place of work), as long as there is someone there to sign for the goods. When checking out you have the option of changing your delivery address. For items being delivered by Royal Mail, we are unable to take specific delivery details and cannot stipulate specific delivery requirements such as "please leave in shed behind house".

 

For customers who do not notify us within 30 days of their product not arriving, we cannot offer a replacement or refund. You must apply or notify us before that time period. After 30 days we are no longer able to claim by royal mail or our courier for goods lost in transit. In addition if a customer asks us to leave a note suggesting a parcel can be left in a certain place (without a signature), then you do so at your own risk - we are not responsible.

 

Delayed Parcels: Sometimes goods take longer than normal to arrive with Royal Mail or our chosen courier. Customers are not entitled for us to send a replacement in the meantime. We are legally obliged to wait 15 working days (3 weeks) for a parcel to be considered as lost - only then will we issue a replacement and not a refund. See Royal Mail website for further detail:

During normal weather conditions when the customer opts for Express Delivery and the parcel arrives late - this is the fault of the courier, and not Aqua Essentials. We will credit you a gift voucher for the cost of the express delivery minus standard delivery cost.

 

Shortages: Any shortages on parcels which are unexpected - please contact the office within 48 hours of receiving the delivery.

 

Express Delivery Delays: During extreme weather conditions (i.e. snow or ice), if a delivery vehicle breaks down or if they cannot gain access to your building and the parcel arrives late due to the courier company physically not being able to deliver your parcel, we are not liable and no credit of postage will apply. If the courier are unable to delivery for other reasons, we will send a Gift Certificate to you for the difference between Standard Post and Express Delivery cost.

 

Goods Left Without Signature: When customers opt for an Express Delivery service, goods can be left without signature providing you leave a comment when checking out informing us of this. However we must stress you do this at your own risk - if you ask for a parcel to be left with a neighbour and they claim to have not taken it in, that is your responsibility and not ours. We will only pass on comments to our courier which you advise us of. Please be acutely aware of this and whose responsibility it then becomes (not ours).

 

Incorrect Delivery Address: To enable us to complete our contract with you, and successfully deliver the goods to the address you supplied on the order (or any subsequent change to the delivery address which we have agreed) you must supply us with a full, complete, and correct delivery address. If the address supplied subsequently turns out to be not full, complete and correct (including the Post Code) you will be responsible for any additional charges levied upon us by the carriers as a result.

 

If the goods are sent by Standard Delivery and are lost or not delivered as a result of the supplied address not being full, complete and correct, then you are fully responsible for the delivery failure, and we will not refund the value of the goods or any original carriage charges, nor send replacements. You alone will be responsible for any search for the missing package.  However, in the event of any error in the addressing on our part, then of course, you would not be held responsible in any way, and we would sort out the problem at no cost to you.

 

Overseas Sales: If you live outside the UK goods sometimes take up to 30 days to arrive. There is nothing we can do about that whilst it's in transit, so all we can ask for is your patience.  Contact us after 30 days if your parcel has not arrived with you.

 

If you purchase electrical products and you live outside the UK, you do so at your own risk. If your product becomes faulty, you will be responsible for returning it back to us, then postage back out to you.
