Description

This is a unique opportunity to get the entire Neutro range of fertilisers at a discounted price. Having all the required bottles of nutrients to make your plants grow as they should is a giant step in the right direction. Limiting fertilisers is one of the major reasons that hobbyists fail with their planted aquariums.

They worry that fertilisers causes algae - this is simply untrue.

Limiting fertilisers tips the balance in favour of algae - you end up starving your plants and feeding algae so you can see why it's never a good idea to limit the food source that your plants desperately need.

Within this set you will receive the following:

Neutro T - 500ml

Neutro CO2 - 500ml

Neutro+ - 500ml

Neutro Boost - 500ml

Neutro X - 500ml

Investing in this set means you have all the food your plants will ever need. It's also geared towards your tank maturing - you see as your plants start to grow and get bigger and bigger you will find your fertilisers needs to evolve. You'll start with Neutro T for example and over time, your plants will need more different nutrients - they'll want more potassium, more nitrogen and more phosphorus. That's when you then step up to using Neutro+.

This set evolves with you as your plants grow.

So take advantage of this deal today, add to basket and checkout. Start giving your plants the food they have always wanted.

Kit Components
1 XNeutro Boost - Small (Adds Macro Nutrients)Neutro Boost - Small (Adds Macro Nutrients)

Neutro Boost is a powerful, clear plant fertiliser containing nitrogen and potassium (macronutrients), which is designed to be used alongside Neutro CO2 and Neutro T or Neutro+. If you have a CO2 infused aquarium, uptake of nitrogen and potassium happens surprisingly quickly - plants can grow fast and need a lot more food so they can stay healthy and sustain the required pace of growth. Maintaining these macronutrient requires regular dosing. In addition to that, it's good practice to ensure water circulation is excellent (so fertilisers are moved around) and replace at least 30% of your aquarium water per week (as a minimum).

So what do plants need nitrogen and potassium for? Nitrogen is a major component for chlorophyll (plants use this combined with light to produce sugars) and a major component of amino acids (protein building blocks). Without these proteins, plants simply die. Potassium on the other hand regulates the opening and closing of stomata, (controlling CO2 uptake) and also functions in other physiological processes such as photosynthesis and protein synthesis. Potassium is considered second only to nitrogen when it comes to the nutrients required by plants, so you can see why, if your plants are deficient in these macronutrients, it's not looking good for them.

Visual Clues: An obvious sign of a nitrogen deficiency is poor plant growth and / or yellowing leaves. Potassium shows up as holes in leaves and / or dying / curled leaves. If you see unhealthy plants with leaves such as this, the sooner you dose Neutro Boost, the better. Acting fast is a solution but prevention is always better than cure. Once plants display a deficiency, the problem leaves rarely recover, but it's the new growth that you need to focus on. Remove unhealthy leaves and dose as below and don't forget that nutrients DO NOT cause algae.

Dosage: Add 10ml per 100L two or three times a week - this will increase your nitrogen levels by 4ppm (per dose) and your potassium by 2.5 ppm (per dose). Target level for nitrogen is 20-80ppm and potassium 5-50ppm. For experienced hobbyists you will be able to approximate how much to be dosing without testing. Look for early signs on new plant growth and as your plants grow, they will need more food.

1 XNeutroX (Powerful Iron Supplement)NeutroX (Powerful Iron Supplement)

NeutroX is a highly stable, premium grade DTPA iron chelate for  the prevention and correction of iron deficiency in a planted aquarium. Iron plays a very important role in plants because it cannot be transported from older leaves to new ones. This means without enough iron in the water, new leaves can suffer. An obvious sign of an iron deficiency is yellowing leaves. If you see unhealthy leaves such as this, the sooner you dose NeutroX, the better. Acting fast is a solution but prevention is always better than cure.

In a CO2 infused aquarium where plants grow faster, deficiencies can occur surprisingly quickly. Maintaining sensible levels of this micronutrient requires testing and regular dosing. It's good practice to make sure your water circulation is excellent (so all fertilisers are moved around) and you replace at least 30% of your aquarium water per week (as a minimum but the more the better).

It's also worth noting that fertilisers such as this DO NOT cause algae which is still a common misconception in the hobby, based on outdated and incorrect information (but we now know better).

Dosage: Add 10ml per 100L until your iron concentration reaches the target level of 0.2 part per million (ppm). After that use as needed (normally 2-4 times per week). Monitor your iron levels with a quality iron test kit and adjust dosing accordingly. For experienced hobbyists you will be able to approximate how much to be dosing without testing. Look for early signs on new plant growth.

For testing your Iron levels use the JBL Iron test kit - other brands like AquaOne do not work.

Note: No health hazards are involved when dosing as instructed and like all the Neutro range they're completely safe for livestock such as fish and shrimp. For best results use in conjunction with Neutro CO2 and Neutro T or Neutro+. If you need further information contact us on 01363 774-787

1 XNeutro CO2 Liquid Carbon - SmallNeutro CO2 Liquid Carbon - Small

Neutro CO2 is a liquid source of carbon for the planted aquarium.

For those of you not familiar with it, carbon is essential for all healthy plant growth and can be provided via gas, or liquid. The liquid form is not as potent as the gas but is still very effective. It won't make your plants pearl (this is when you see O2 bubbles coming from the plant) but it will help them grow. Plants that have access to liquid carbon will do far better than those without.

In addition to this, if you over dose Neutro CO2, it can have a negative effect on algae (helps reduce it). However you need to take care when overdosing, and increase it slowly. Perhaps 25% extra, then monitor the results. We do not recommend more than double dose.

It is also possible to spot treat plants or wood that have algae growing on them. Simply by using a pipette and extracting some Neutro CO2, squirt the carbon onto the plant or wood when it is outside of the water. Wait for 10 seconds then put it back into the water. You can also do this when performing a water change (it's easiest that way). But if you leave liquid carbon on for too long you will kill the plant.

DIRECTIONS: Add 5ml per 250L every day. It doesn't matter what time of day you dose this product, but it does need to be added every 24 hours.

1 XNeutro+ Aquarium Fertiliser - SmallNeutro+ Aquarium Fertiliser - Small

Neutro+ is a liquid plant fertiliser which provides trace elements and macro nutrients (NPK) for high tech planted aquariums. The definition of 'high tech' is injecting with pressurised CO2 with moderate to high lighting. This all in one solution makes dosing really easy. The results are impressive and plant growth is better, healthier, quicker and stronger - but only if you dose as recommended.

Dosage: This product needs to be dosed daily so that your plants have a steady stream of nutrients. There's little point in dumping a weeks worth of fertilisers in one go. Simply add 5ml per 100L every day. It doesn't matter what time of the day you dose, as long as it's every 24 hours. Over time as your plants grow, you need to increase the amount of Neutro+ you are adding. Larger plants need more food than they did, let's say a week ago. If you don't give them the food they need, the plant will struggle and algae will begin to take hold.

It's worth noting that regardless of what type of planted aquarium you have (i.e. low tech or high tech), we recommend using Neutro CO2 which is a liquid carbon supplement (see related products for more information). This will help all plants not only by adding another source of carbon, but also keeping any algae at bay.

1 XNeutro T Aquarium Fertiliser - SmallNeutro T Aquarium Fertiliser - Small

Neutro T is a liquid aquarium plant fertiliser which provides all the necessary trace elements including iron for your low tech planted aquarium. Low tech means aquariums which are not using pressurised CO2.  The ingredients in Neutro T are special. They work quickly and effectively when dosed as recommended. Your plants will show the benefits of this product and reward you in no time.

If you are using CO2, then you need to dose Neutro+ which contains trace elements and macro nutrients (it's an all in one solution). So Neutro T for low tech planted aquariums and Neutro+ for high tech planted aquariums.

However regardless of what type of planted aquarium you have, we recommend using Neutro CO2 which is a liquid carbon supplement (see related products for more information).
