The Neutro Fertilsing Set - Low Tech consists of Neutro T, Neutro CO2 and Terra Tabs (x15) for a non pressurised CO2 aquarium.
This is a complete set to get you started wth ensuring that your tank is being fully fertilised. Neutro T is your plant fertiliser, Neutro CO2 is your liquid source of carbon and the TerraTabs are for fertilising your plants from the roots up.
When you buy like this, you make yourself a little saving too!
Neutro T is a liquid aquarium plant fertiliser which provides all the necessary trace elements including iron for your low tech planted aquarium. Low tech means aquariums which are not using pressurised CO2. The ingredients in Neutro T are special. They work quickly and effectively when dosed as recommended. Your plants will show the benefits of this product and reward you in no time.
Dosage: This product needs to be dosed daily so that your plants have a steady stream of nutrients. There's little point in dumping a weeks worth of fertilisers in one go. Simply add 5ml per 100L every day. It doesn't matter what time of the day you dose, as long as it's every 24 hours.
If you are using CO2, then you need to dose Neutro+ which contains trace elements and macro nutrients (it's an all in one solution). So Neutro T for low tech planted aquariums and Neutro+ for high tech planted aquariums.
However regardless of what type of planted aquarium you have, we recommend using Neutro CO2 which is a liquid carbon supplement (see related products for more information).

Neutro CO2 is a liquid source of carbon for the planted aquarium.
For those of you not familiar with it, carbon is essential for all healthy plant growth and can be provided via gas, or liquid. The liquid form is not as potent as the gas but is still very effective. It won't make your plants pearl (this is when you see O2 bubbles coming from the plant) but it will help them grow. Plants that have access to liquid carbon will do far better than those without.
In addition to this, if you over dose Neutro CO2, it can have a negative effect on algae (helps reduce it). However you need to take care when overdosing, and increase it slowly. Perhaps 25% extra, then monitor the results. We do not recommend more than double dose.
It is also possible to spot treat plants or wood that have algae growing on them. Simply by using a pipette and extracting some Neutro CO2, squirt the carbon onto the plant or wood when it is outside of the water. Wait for 10 seconds then put it back into the water. You can also do this when performing a water change (it's easiest that way). But if you leave liquid carbon on for too long you will kill the plant.
DIRECTIONS: Add 5ml per 250L every day. It doesn't matter what time of day you dose this product, but it does need to be added every 24 hours.

Neutro TerraTabs (x15) are powerful all in one capsules that are designed to be placed into your substrate so that your plants can begin feeding through their roots immediately. It's worth noting that plants will absorb through their leaves first (and quickest) but if you want to give your plants the best food they can (so they look and grow into stunning specimens), then TerraTabs are for you.
History of TerraTabs:
After years of using other branded root tabs, we wanted a capsule that was powerful and small. Research showed most brands used very low quality materials, fooling the consumer that theirs were the best. Sadly, cheap fillers mean poor quality and plants didn't do well with the majority. Poor growth and root tabs that didn't break down, therefore provided zero benefit.
We decided to change all of this...
These capsules really pack a punch and here's why:
The ingredients of the capsules are especially developed for planted aquariums which need easy access to nutrients.
High concentrations of nutrients means plants grow faster and show off their real colours.
No cheap fillers mean pure quality - plants need the best so why cut corners?
Easy to apply
Safe for shrimp
Will not effect pH
How to use:
Decide how many capsules you need. It's advisable that once open, use all the root tabs - moisture in the air can cause the tabs to stick together. Using clean and dry tweesers, take 1 capsule at a time and place into the roots of the plants, roughly 3cm below the surface. Use 1 capsule per area 15x15cm. In large tanks, consider our bigger tub which supplies 50 capsules.
Root tabs are not designed as a replacement to a nutrient rich substrate but rather offer as a compliment, so when substrates begin to deplete (or preferably just before), pop the tabs in immediately. For a really turbo charged substrate, you can scatter them around the base of your tank, then top with substrate.
The capsules dissolve in water so when you start placing them into your tank, be as quick as you can. Also ensure the pot which they are stored in remains dry and free from any moisture.
Each capsule is designed to last 3-4 months in your aquarium, so after that, simply pop more in to allow the plant to keep growing.
