Description

This bamboo-looking stem plant is not a grass. It comes from Asia, where it often grows in rice fields. The growth is upright, but the plant branches out willingly when it is cut back.

The leaf is light green, approx. 1cm wide and 3-5cm long. The stem apex becomes reddish when exposed to CO2 and strong light. Due to quick growth, the longest shoots require ongoing cut back and some of the tops can be replanted, in order to maintain a beautiful and varied group of plants.

I hesitated on writing a review as I wanted to see how this plant does . I was worried at first because despite a nutrient rich substrate, injected co2 and bright lighting, the plant showed little signs of growth during the first 2 weeks but suddenly, in the last few days, it has taken off and looks amazing. I think its going to reach the surface of my 24 inch deep tank in the next few days

Arrived in very good condition and planted in co2 tank - may not be the easiest of plants but none the less stunning bamboo looking addition to my nano tank. So glad I finally found it as well as a bit of a rarity!
