Once you receive these plants we know you'll be absolutely delighted with the choice and quality. Aqua Essentials has an amazing reputation for quality and we always live up to it. Once you receive your mixed box, it's entirely up to you as to how you plant them in your aquarium. Always remove them from their pots and rock wool and then give them space to grow.

Don't forget your fertilisers when choosing your plants. Without fertilisers, you don't give plants the food they need to grow. We use Neutro Fertilisers in our nursery and we recommend you do too.

The plants arrived really well packaged. They are now in my new set up (Fluval Flex 125l) and look amazing. I was advised to get Neutro-T fertiliser and Neutro CO2 too, these are on the expensive side but worthwhile as the plants seem to be doing well. Hoping I won’t get any melting! Would highly recommend this set of pants and the excellent customer services I received.

Ask a question about this product
Hi, I have a 140 litre tank and just purchased a co2 system. I have goldfish and worry they might pull the plants up but there is less chance if the plants are rooted. The water temperature is about 21 - 23 degrees centigrade. I have JBL aquaBasis plus subtrate and 2-3 mm grain size gravel. Will the mixed box of 20 pot plants be ideal or can you recommend something else? Kind regards David

Hi David This box will be just fine for you!

Hi, i have a 125ltr tank and i'm using aquatic soil as a substrate. I also have a Co2 system, and medium lighting. I'm pretty new to the hobby so i'm looking for hardy, easy to care for plants. Would this package suit me? Rgds Lee.

Absolutely - this box of plants would be ideal

Mixed Box 20 Pots - For a 125L Tank Is this suitable for a low tech tropical tank? Or would i need to use your Neutro C02

It's for a medium tech tank but good idea to use Neutro CO2

This is my first tank to bear with me..:) I want to buy your Mixed Box 20 Pots - For a 125L Tank (low tech) and I will be adding Neutro T Aquarium Fertilizer as recommended Would using you liquid CO2 product be beneficial aswell? Thanks Dan

Yes use Neutro CO2 with all plants :)

Hello, I was wondering what sized collection you would recommend for a trigon 190, Id like a focal point piece of bog wood then planted all round, wasn't sure as because of the corner shape? using ada aqua soil, EI ferts and co2 dosing. many thanks!

Good question. This one would suit you most https://www.aquaessentials.co.uk/mixed-box-of-aquarium-plants-150l-tank-p-5359.html

I have a 500lt tank, and want to plant up for the first time. It has been set up and running for 10 days, so is it ready. I have a co2 system in place. How many plants should I plant out with. I would like to create a good effect. Would you be able to supply a planting out guide to what would look best in what position.

for a 500L tank we have this mixed box

We don't offer a planting guide as such but it's clear from the plants which you would receive as to their location. Their tags also show how high they grow to make it easier.

I have an 80 litre Supafish home tank and have tried and failed a few times to grow plants successfully. I would appreciate any advice you could give as to how many plants I should get and what else I can do to care for them.

The box size down from this would be suitable

Use fertilisers and liquid carbon

Sign up for my tips too as there's a few other things to think about

Hi, Im thinking of buying 1 of your mixed boxes for my 350ltr tank, I will not be using C02 i will just be using fertilizer tablets so would the plants in the box be suitable for an easy care aquarium and also will there be plants in the box that can be attached to rocks/plants? Thanks Ash

Bit small for a 350L tank - this box is for a 100L tank

Generally, all mixed boxes consist of fast-growing plants which tend to be easy to grow.

You always need fertilisers for plants - use these https://www.aquaessentials.co.uk/neutro-combo-low-tech-medium-p-8172.html?cPath=544_208&zenid=utlqhha1623c0eo5pvel7gvh27

No plants are suitable for attaching to wood in mixed boxes - you'd need to buy them separately.

Hi, Does the box of plants include ones that attached to wood/rock? Regards Steve

Wel just wondering would this pack be suitable for a 140 opti tank tropica soil nd co2 injection

should be fine

How much variety do you get with the mixed box is it 24 different plants or 2-3 of different varieties?

Generally, but not always, with a mix of 24, you get around 8 different varieties.

Hello. I have a Fluval Flex 123L tank coming on Monday and intend to add Seachem Fluorite Black as a substrate for a Cardinal Tetra/Betta community planted tank. I assume this plant pack would work well here (or would you recommend anything else, going up to 150L mix fore example?) It's a new tank so will be cycling, will this plants cope with that? I also don't intend to add an CO2 but will add fertiliser if recommended. Thanks!

This box size would be ideal for you.

You will need fertilisers like all plants need along with a liquid carbon. I recommend Neutro T and Neutro CO2.

Plants are not affected by the cycling process.

Hello, thanks… so do I have to have the Neutro cO2 as well as the fertiliser (I ordered the neutro T fertiliser with the plants today).

Recommended yes for optimal plant growth.

Just to say the plants are growing really well - great products thank you. the tallest red leaf plant is growing a lot of aerial roots. Should I trim these or cut too off and replant?

Great to hear. Trim off and replant
