Description

Seiryu Mini Landscape Aquarium Rock is the most desirable rocks for tropical aquariums and is perfect for use in aquascaping in planted aquariums.

These rocks were almost created for aquariums - their grooves, shapes and contours give the aquascaper so many choices, it can often be difficult to make up your mind which way looks best.

  • Colours vary from light grey to a darker grey
  • Minimal effect on pH and not noticeable in planted aquariums
  • Small and easy to place
  • Gives immediate impact to any aquarium

Seiryu Mini Landscape Aquarium Rock has become very popular with Iwagumi aquariums where the main focus is on the rocks and the plants complement the over all set up. World famous Aquascaper Takashi Amano uses these rocks with great effect in many of his set ups - the only difference is he calls the rocks Seiryu Stone.

Hobbyists are often amazed at these rocks as they look so great in their aquariums, they soon come back for more. The texture and size of the rocks is what makes them so special.  If you have a particular size, shape or style in mind, feel free to leave notes in the comments section when checking out and the picking team will try to match it as closely as possible.

beautiful rocks, nice variety of sizes.

Arrived quickly, with a good variety of sizes to make a nice display in my tank. Thank you. Would definitely order from you again.

Had a personal note saying that all the stones were 2kg each and whether it would be ok - left me a little concerned before I had a look, I had bought 10kg worth, and to be honest they were more than favourable selection and better than anticipated, each piece was unique and allowed me to scape quite freely, I've used every piece. Great service once again, and quick delivery! Will use them again.

Will this rock effect ph and water hardenes if i put for example 20 kg in 400 litres aquarium where ph is 6.5 and hardenes 8 kh 12 gh? I want to keep ph less than 6.8 and soft water, or is the dragon stone better?

Staff
All rock will effect pH a little but in a planted aquarium won't cause a problem.

how many kg's for a 20 litre nano, 5kgs sound ok? can i specify small rocks suitable for this type of aquascape?

Staff

5kgs is about right :) Leave a comment at the checkout and picking team will do their best for you.

How many kgs for a 46ltr tank, 5kgs would seem about right. I have a Fluval Edge 46ltr which has a restricted opening in the top of 170mm x 110mm and am looking to create an Iwagumi style scape with 3 primary rocks, Main - Upright (major) Second - Flatish / Chunky (secondary) Third - Rounded (minor) I hope you can help

Staff
Try 7kgs. 5 isn't enough - remember you need to be able to experiment and therefore more is better in this situation

i have a 350 liter tank, how much would i need? The name of the rock says 'mini' but i would like a few good large pieces what sizes would come (HxLxD)? ultimately i would like at least one center piece that would be at least 3/4 height of tank, so 40-45 cm high, is this possible?

Staff

Depending on what type of aquascape you ar trying to create, you would need 40-50kgs. This rock is small and we rarely see pieces 40cm tall. Most customer simply stack the rock to create the effect they want and because of the shape of mini landscape, you can stack it very easily and it looks natural. However on 40-50kgs we would certainly pick the bigest pieces we have available :)

i have a ADA 60-F dimentions are 60cm X 30cm X 18cm (24in X 12in X 7in) 38L would you be able to pick one larger peice and then a nice selection of smaller ones and how much you recomend 10kg ? Thanks Dean

Staff
Yes no problem - leave a comment when checking out the sort of rocks you would like and we will do our best :) Go for 6kgs

Guest
How big is your largest rock? I wasn't sure because the title says mini. How many big/small rocks would I get if I ordered 12kg?

Staff
About 25cm at the moment - most are much smaller. 12kgs gets about 12-15 rocks. This is only relevant for stock atm

Guest
Are you expecting more of these any time soon?

Staff
Mid January

Guest
How many kgs would you recommend for a 25 litre nano tank? Ideally I would like 1 main rock and 2 slightly smaller ones. Thanks

Staff
Minimum of 5kgs so you have something to work with

I am interested in Dragon stone or Grey Mountain for 200 l iwagumi aquarium: 1 stone ~25 cm high 1 stone ~20 cm high 2 stones ~15 cm high 3 stones 10-15 cm high Is it possible to get photo of picked stones for my order first, just to understand how they will look in overall composition? What can be approximate weight of chosen stones? How fast it is possible to dispatch order to Latvia? Sorry if my questions are too complicated, but it is very important for me to get stones which will fit good to one each other and look beautiful together

Staff

Sorry we cannot offer any photos as we do not have time

You can leave comments as to the approximate size you want when ordering and picking team will do their best to select what you are after. Remember this is a natural product and as a result it's rare to find exactly what you are after.

If I buy 20kg of rock what would be the sizes of the rock roughly?

Staff

We would pick a mixture of small, medium and large sizes

Guest
I want to create a nano iwagumi in a 28l tank how much kg would be needed?

Staff

5-6kgs

Guest
I have a 270l tank (1160 x 600 x 400) and are looking to create a planted tank using rocks as the main features but also some wood. How many kg's would you suggest I buy and would you recommend this rock over the others you stock? Cheers

Staff

Start with 25kgs. It's a great rock and very versatile. Just check out the reviews.

Guest
If I buy 4 Kg, is it possible to have only 2 pieces?

Staff

sure, just leave a comment when checking out that you want 2 pieces

Guest
Are the three rocks in the picture the three different sizes you can get? Also if I wast click 'add to bag' and I buy it will I get the different size rocks. ALS how big is each one because I was thinking of gettingt hem all

Staff

Every rock is different as they're natural. The rocks is sold per kg and the smallest we have at the moment is 3kgs. The picture is just an example and not what you will receive.

Guest
I love the last picture as it looks like a cave/ tunnel. Was the rock like that as one piece or was it achieved by stacking? I have a 90 litre tank and have just purchased some silk plants. Really love the redwood and would like a few stones also, I have a grey castle so I think these stones would complement it, I would like a tunnel or stack but not too big, what would I need?

Staff

it was stacked. But to get that effect you'd need about 7-9kgs now - smallest piece is 3kgs

Guest
I love the texture of these rocks but does their inherent roughness pose problems for certain delicate fish such as puffers, loaches, corys etc.?

Staff

they'll be just fine with this rock

Guest
hi, I was just wondering what type of substrate was used in the last picture? I would like the same effect in my tank with these rocks

Staff

FloraBase Brown

Guest
Would this rock come in pcs 15-20cm ? or or are they only available in bigger bits.

Staff

The odd bit but not many

Guest
How many/much would you recommend for a juwel korall (72litre)? Also, as it is rather tall- 40cms - would you be able to include one that's around 25cms to give scape some height?

Staff

About 12kgs. You can leave a note in the comments section of the checkout re. Rock sizes.

Guest
As I am only intending to use about 4 rocks - the 25cm one (as above), 2 10cm ish ones and a possibly smaller one, would I really need 12kgs?

Staff

For the sizes you want, you could possibly go for 10kgs however it all depends on what's in stock at the time. It's better to have a bit too much than not enough otherwise you will have to pay postage twice

Guest
How big is 2kg rock roughly please ?

Staff

Around 20cm x 20cm

Guest
Thanks have you got any smaller pieces available ?

Staff

Sometimes
