Description

This cosmopolitan stem plant turns red easier and is smaller than the well-known Ludwigia repens ’Rubin’. Each stalk becomes 2-4cm wide and 10-30cm high. The Ludwigia sp. willingly creates side shoots, but cutting increases the amount and leaves the plant even closer. The cut-off shoots can be replanted and they quickly generate new roots.

With good levels of light and CO2, this plant will flourish and change the colour portfolio of your plant. Planted alongside green plants or dark rocks only highlights its beauty.

I love this more than I expected to. It arrived really healthy and hasn’t skipped a beat since I put it in the tank. It’s only been in about a week and it’s giving me new leaves already

Sorry, not sure why all the words are not showing despite re-sending, could it be a problem if I'm copying and paste the words onto this link

I hope this time all the words show, if there is a smiley face at the end then hurray it worked, if not then I will sent an email. I was saying I have a 350L planted tank which is (w)4ft x (h)2ft x (d)2ft and my lighting consists of one fluval aqualife

Hi there, if I take the plant out of the pot and clean off the foam stuff, can this plant be planted as one bunch or is it best to separate the stems.

Guest
in the description is says (willingly creates side shoots, but cutting increases the amount and leaves the plant even closer. The cut-off shoots can be replanted) Mt question is? are they the long white shoots which come out of the stem all the way up the plant? and cutting them of increases the leave count?

Staff

best to separate into stems

Staff

no those are the roots you are referring to. No need to cut them

I'm unsure on the best way to prune this plant, if I find it's to tall, am I best to prune above the leaves or just below the leaves

Staff

generally with stems you need to be brutal or else they become leggy and unsightly

trim 50% off each time for the best effect
