Hygrophila polysperma is one the easiest plants to grow, suited for beginners and new set ups as it just keeps growing whilst absorbing excess nutrients. Originating from India, the polysperma grow very fast and often need trimming. Under good lighting the shoot will turn a reddish-brown.

When planting this plant in the substrate try using 2 or 3 rocks to surround the stem, this will highlight the plant and help bring out the colour.

I did not get the above plant as it was substituted for hygrophila rosae Australia, this plant was in good condition and well packed. Not been in the tank long enough to comment on growth.

Plant arrived in good condition and has grown really well in the tank. Would definitely buy again

Received a good healthy plant that once planted in tank is doing really well. Great value too

Wow! This is one happy plant! Growing well, and providing lots of interest for the fishes. They now have lots of lovely hiding places. This was a good choice, but only suitable for deeper tanks, as they are very tall.

These lovely little plants are doing fantastically well! They evidently love the temperature in our aquaria. In fact, they've grown so tall already, they're sticking up above the water level. I prefer the botanical name for them, but maybe there's logic in the common name!

Do you stock the green and pink tiger stipe variation of Hygrophila polysperma potted? I would post an image link but it won't allow me to paste on my iPad, The closes image on Google search is the 16th and 33rd image in the image search results, The plant has lower green leaves and reddish pink top leaves.
