Heteranthera zosterifolia from South America is an extremely beautiful plant which forms a lot of side shoots and thus quickly forms a bushy plant group. Stems can become 30-50 cm tall and 6-12 cm wide. In strong light growth is intensive, and the plant must be pruned before it becomes so compact that no light reaches the lower leaves. Water roots often form on the stem.

In open aquariums it forms small blue flowers if some shoots are allowed to spread on the surface.

An easy plant that is great for beginners and up - just don't forget to trim regularly and then replant the cuttings.

Arrived completely brown and in poor condition ( I think but no experience on it before). Not entirely happy but turned out I ran out of room anyway so surplus to requirements.

As usual, plant arrived in excellent condition. Growing well but argues with the cryptocoryne wendtii green so they had to be separated.

Arrived as very healthy looking plant. Adopted well in the tank is growing at a fast rate! it is also producing what looks like white buds on separate stalks. Will be exciting if it flowers! I only had an Aponogeton flower in my tank. 44 years ago!!

All plants are ordered on a weekly basis from three different growers in Europe. I'm sorry if at the time that you are wishing to order that some of the plants are out of stock, but there's nothing that we can do about that. We rely on the commercial growers to have the plants available at the time that we want them but like anything that has grown it is not always available all year round
