Description

The umbrella hairgrass, as it is also known, is a delicate grass for the background. It has been known in aquatics for a long time, but only thanks to wonderful aquascaping layouts has this swamp plant, which forms runners, caught the attention again. The plants create the best effect when planted in large groups behind a stone structure or with other delicate stem plants. The species name vivipara: viviparous, comes from the runners on the blade tips.

Excellent plant. Very sturdy and has settled in well at the rear of my Aquarium.

This is very delicate plant and it expanded in my tank very quickly. Did need to thin it out occasionally to keep it under control in relation to other plants in tank. As usual I’m so pleased and proud of the plants I’ve purchased from your company

A particularly useful p[lant, spreading to the surface, deflects the strong light from above. Very satisfied with the whole order, thank you.

If you trim this grass to the height you want does it detract from its shape? Do you think this might look good with Vallis backing it?

Staff

This plant can be trimmed if needed although you will want to keep it's shape as much as possible for it to look natural. It is well suited to the Vallis too.
