Originating from South America the Echinodorus hormanii is a splendid looking aquatic plant. The green coloured leaves it produces are what makes this species so attractive. This plant can reach heights of up to 50cm and given the right conditions will produce lots of leaves, so trimming will need to be done to maintain required shape and size.

We strongly recommend when purchasing live plants you opt for Express Delivery - this way the plants arrive in a timely manner and can also be tracked.

Great plant, well packed, and as usual for echinodorus sp roots were growing through the pot :D It's going to be a "specimen" plant so having only two plants in the pot wasn't a problem - especially considering just how large it has the potential to grow. So trimmed the roots back, and planted, had some die back / melt in the first week, but new growth was appearing. Makes a nice change from the usual Blehrae in a Amazonian biotope.

Setting up a new tank for the first time after many years. Will be a while before commenting on the plant. However the order was delivered very quickly. It was well packaged. All the ordered plants looked very "fit and well". Not given the fifth star as plant not yet even in the tank!
