Description

Originating from the Central highlands of Sri Lanka the Cryptocoryne parva  grows in dense colonies along the banks of fast flowing rivers. Known as the Green Water Trumpet, this delightful little crypt is one of the smallest of the species, growing slowly this plant is rather demanding needing high light and CO2 levels.

This plant looks great planted in a group of three or four and amongst light rocks or wood.

Understanding Crypt melt - all Cryptocoryne species require stable water parameter and light conditions. Once planted, Crypts should not be moved otherwise it can trigger what is called Crypt melt. If a Crypt has a significant change of environment (ph, kh , gh, lighting intensity or duration, root disturbance etc), Crypt melt can be triggered. The leaves start to disintegrate as the plant prepares for its new environment - DO NOT WORRY! Your plant will begin to grow back over the next 30 days (sometimes sooner, sometimes later) - it's still very much alive and busy getting ready for the growth of new leaves. In the meantime, any decaying leaves should be trimmed and recycled in a compost bin.

Nice looking plant although it turned yellow soon after I placed it in the tank, I just picked the yellow leaves off and it soon grew back stronger, pleased with the plant and overall service

The parva is great shame about the management I applied a 10% off voucher thought it had all gone through only to find it didn't take the 10% off I got in touch with aquaessential as I had spent over £40 pounds .i was going to do another small order thinking they would have the decency to credit my new order but alas not to be so plants are superb but customer care a big fat zero .i have ordered in the past and always been satisfied with quality of plants.but customer care matters a lot to me obviously a few pounds matter more to aquaessential.lucy
