Cryptocoryne mix is a Cryptocoryne which we will choose for you (so not always like te picture). That means if you buy a few of these, they may all be different (no guarantee though). Either way it's no set species of cryptocoryne, so like a lucky dip!

Ideal for beginners as this plant is so easy to keep and grow.  Try creating a captivating look by positioning in clumps of two and three.

Understanding Crypt melt - all Cryptocoryne species require stable water parameter and light conditions. Once planted, Crypts should not be moved otherwise it can trigger what is called Crypt melt. If a Crypt has a significant change of environment (ph, kh , gh, lighting intensity or duration, root disturbance etc), Crypt melt can be triggered. The leaves start to disintegrate as the plant prepares for its new environment - DO NOT WORRY! Your plant will begin to grow back over the next 30 days (sometimes sooner, sometimes later) - it's still very much alive and busy getting ready for the growth of new leaves. In the meantime, any decaying leaves should be trimmed and recycled in a compost bin.

The plant I received through this order was Cryptocoryne undulatus Green. It arrived, as usual, well packaged and in good condition. It seems to be growing well, and looks very nice at the front of the tank.

Ask a question about this product
I am looking for a tried and tested background plant for my 90 ltr aquarium. I have tried various plants including wisteria, but it broke up every day. Can you recommend a tall background plant preferably red in colour. Remember I have already purchased plants from you that have died. John McLeish

If plants are dying John you need to address that. It's not the plant, it's you (if that makes sense). Red plants are generally demanding so avoid them but really most background plants are easy so take your pick. Download our free eBook off our home page.
