Crinum calamistratum originated in Cameroon, these plants produce strong, crinkled leaves that can reach up to 80cm in length in the wild. A happy plant will produce flower stalks amongst the upper leaves.

These plants do not require strong light but they do prefer gentle movement in the water, placing them near an outflow pipe would be ideal. To get the most attractive results use Crinum calamistratum on its own.

Bit pricey for the size of bulb that arrived, but several long healthy green leaves and well rooted bulb, and seems to have settled into my tank nicely. Haven't seen it cheaper/in my local stores so still worthwhile.

Ordered two of these. They are great quality plants and holding strong in my fancy goldfish tank who leave this plant alone. Have ordered plenty of plants from this company due to fantastic quality plants.

Ask a question about this product
will this plant do well with light from two T5 54w bulbs in a 260l juwel vision?

Sure will as long as you fertilise the tank with something like Neutro T

if that plant needs a co2 in the tank

It doesn't need CO2

Hello. Could you give an idea of roughly how large this plant comes when ordered?

About 30cm tall

Could you give an idea of when this might be back in stock? Thanks

I have no idea to be honest. It's been out of stock with the growers for weeks.

Any idea of when you'll have this back in stock?, thanks.

Is this plant supplied in a pot?

How long does it take a bulb to produce another bulb, do the plants grow slowly or quickly?

Very slowly - not something even worth considering.

Do you know when this or even the XL version will be in stock? Looks fantastic.

out of stock with growers so we don't know when it's back in - sorry

'out of stock with growers' I just bought my plants yesterday and now this comes back in? Thanks. You must have known you'd get stock 3 days after the question was asked.

Yes it showed out of stock with growers. We order plants regardless, but occasionally we get back orders and today just 3 arrived.

This plant looks great. I've left it in its pot and I've buried the pot in the substrate (fine sand). Will this be OK?

Yes, it'll be fine like that. However, always better to remove from pot.

Hi there can this be planted in fine sand rather than soil?

Yes - all plants can be planted in sand but will always do better in soil
