Contraversial Algae killing method

I stumbled across this clip today and saw an unusual method of killing algae and wondered what you guys thought of it?

Anyone tried it?

  1. I’ve used H2O2 to kill BGA (spot treatment with pipette), but not as routine, or instead of water changes.
It works. It very rapidly breaks down to water and oxygen (which is why it works), so has no lasting adverse effects.
However, it’s not dealing with the underlying cause. Also, you still have to remove the dead algae.
