More questions about liquid carbons has spurred me onto doing another YouTube clip. I’m quite liking this format of discussing things this way but would love to hear if you like it too and find it more interactive?
Perhaps you have a question you would like me to answer via YouTube? Ask away and I’ll see what I can do.
If using phosphate remover in the external filter to help control algae in a non co2 planted tank, could you still use it as such if you went more high tech planted with co2 and higher fertiliser dosing ?
In a CO2 infused tank you need to add phosphate not remove it.
I have a 50 l aquarium which did suffer with a small amount of BBA on Anubias. I use liquid and substrate feets and CO2. I tried using liquid carbon but found that the scum on the surface unsightly. My plants have now established and the BBA is in check so I have discontinued the use of liquid carbon. As a short term use and as an algaecide, it’s effective but I doubt it’s veracity as a growth enhancer over time.
