Description

Originating from Madagascar the Aponogeton ulvaceus Bulb is a beautiful centre piece for your tank. This bulb has bright green vellum-like, heavy crimpled leaves. The older bulbs can grow up to 50 leaves given the right conditions!!!!

This plant grows QUICKLY in the aquarium too under basic conditions. We provide it will very little light and it grows even with little water movement. We've tried it under faster water movement and it loves that too which means this plant is suitable for beginners and up.

In terms of positioning, obviously the background is the only suitable location. Simply drop it into the chosen location and leave it be. It will throw roots down and anchor itself. Note: All bulbs are sent without leaves (so bulb only).

Arrived quickly and in excellent condition. Was extremely well packaged. Never seen a plant grow so quickly!! Looks fantastic waving in the water. Would definitely buy from Aqua Essentials in the future and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others.

Arrived in excellent conditions. Growing well in the aquarium after a week and half. Mind you, I used express delivery since I wanted to minimize the travel stress.

Leaves are growing nicely

Ordered 2 bulbs and both had some small leaves starting out. I can see just a week later that they are growing but i think my fish like the taste of the leaves. Hopefully when it gets settled it will outgrow the fishes interest.

I received this plant three days ago. I gave it a gentle but thorough rinse in clean tap water before adding it to the tank, and since putting it in the tank it's started growing some spots of white fuzzy mold looking stuff? I know some organics like wood can have fungal growth for a bit when added to tanks, so is it to be expected or should I be concerned?

Hi, this is quite normal and nothing to worry about. It is most likely to be due to it being put in water for the first time as some growers keep them dry. Just rub it off and that should do the trick.

Hi, I'm new to aquarium plants and so this might sound like a stupid question but how would I go about growing this? Would I be ok to submerge the bulb in my aquarium into substrate and let it grow or if the growing done out of water?

just drop it into its location and give it a wiggle. That's it.
