The purple colour underneath leaves of Alternanthera reineckii 'Pink' from South America provides an effective contrast to the many green plants in an aquarium - particularly when planted in groups. Stems becomes 25-50 cm tall. Good light encourages the leaves to turn red. Easy to propagate by nipping off the terminal bud and planting it in the substrate. This also makes the mother plant more bushy, because more side shoots are formed.

The plant arrived in fairly good condition and had plenty of roots. It only been in my tank for a few days so still transitioning and has lost a few leaves but over all it’s doing very well.

This is a fantastic looking plant and a great addition to my tank, again this plant arrived in good time and in great condition. Unfortunately I have some large fish and these plants have taken a bit of a battering if you have large boisterous fish do not plant these out in the open. I found it best to plant these in amongst other more hardy plants.

A really pretty plant which is outstanding next to the green plants. So far it appears to be thriving.

Very nice plants, could have been a little stronger in the pot, very delicate not much root. Great service and delivery.

Plants arrived after the weekend of posting which resulted in a delay by royal mail. Lost a few leaves off each plant, so not entirely happy. Perhaps postage of live plants should be Monday and Tuesday only to give time to arrive without weekends in the middle of transit.
