For reducing the pH level in freshwater aquariums.

Peat Plus slowly releases acids and other natural substances into the water which reduces the pH, KH and GH levels. This is a useful product for hobbyists who live in hardwater areas and need to reduce their pH but prefer not to use harsh chemicals.

Peat is a natural way to get round this. As a result it can be used for acid loving fish (like discus) or those who keep a planted aquarium where the desired pH is 6.8. Keeping the pH at this level will help your plants to flourish.

Instructions:

For best results place peat directly into your filter. If your pH increases you need to replace your Peat Plus. For easy handling and cleaning put the Peat Plus in a filter bag (not provided but see related products below).
