Filter Sponge

Sponge filters are the ideal way to filter tanks which contain young fish or shrimp.  They need to be operated by an air pump but are very easy and relatively cheap way to set up a filtration system.  If you intend on reproducing from shrimp, sponge filters are a must as not only do they stop the young shrimp becoming trapped by the filter, they actually provide the shrimp for a place to feed.
