Originating from Brazil the Staurogyne Repens is a hardy and compact foreground plants with fresh green leaves.

Coming from the same family as the Hygrophilia the Staurogyne has a low and bushy nature with small green leaves.

Whilst in the aquarium, we recommend the longest upright shoots should be cut off so that new horizontally creeping shoots can grow and spread and gradually carpet on the gravel.

 Conditions:

• Preferred water temperature is 20-28 ºC
• Ideal water chemistry is pH 6-8.
• Can be kept in a medium to high light environment.
• Suitable in CO2 and non-CO2 tanks.
• Foreground plant.
