Monosolenium tenerum (pelia moss) has been grown and matured on a rectangular piece of mesh. Pelia is not very common in the wild but can be easily cultivated in the aquarium. Technically a liverwork, it doesn't have any roots and looks very much like large riccia. The great thing about pelia is that it's heavier than water and as a result sinks which is why it makes a good carpet. It's diverse in terms of lighting and if you provide a lot of light, it grows dense and small. You can tie it to wood (use Aqua Fine Line), and whilst it doesn't have any roots it does have rhizoids (which help to anhor it a little). Give this plant CO2 and you'll see O2 bubbles coming from it. Helpful Tips:
