Regarded as one of the most beautiful bulbs from the Aponogeton family.
A beautiful bulb that is relatively easy to grow providing you add liquid fertilisers to the water. It also likes a nutritious substrate.
The leaves are delicate light-green and transparent with fluted margin. Stunning leaves really make this plant stand out from the crowd. A single root can produce more than 40 leaves.
Grows to approximately 60cm in height so makes a great background plant.
It is relatively tolerant, and thrives in both soft and hard water, particularly if CO2 is added.
This bulb may go through a dormant period where it will not produce leaves however they will return in a few weeks.
Conditions:
- Preferred water temperature is 22-28 degrees.
- Ideal water chemistry is pH 6-8.4.
- Can be kept in a high light environment.
- Suitable in both CO2 and non CO2 tanks.
- Background plant.

Bulb arrived next day and had a few leaves. Once planted in my aquarium it gave the impression of being like Jack's beanstalk. Within a week had grown to the top of the water - about 16" with 5 leaves. Now almost taking over.
